Masculinity
Architecture

Field manuals for modern men. Office, perimeter, liturgy — installed.

The framework that treats the office of husband as a structure with drawings. Not a devotional. Not a therapy manual. Engineering for the office, written by a man inside an intact marriage who carried the weight and wrote down what held.

Architecture // 02

What this book is.

Three load-bearing architectures, installed in order. Each holds the next.

01

Slot A · Office

The Ish office.

Husband is not a feeling — it is a Hebrew word that names a station. The book disassembles the office into six published duties and rebuilds it around them. When the office is held, the feelings sort themselves. When it isn't, no amount of feeling fills the gap.

02

Slot B · Perimeter

The Shamar perimeter.

Genesis 2:15 hands the man a watch order before it hands him a wife. Seven gates of the household, the failure modes at each, and the discipline required to keep them. Most marital crises begin at a gate the office-holder stopped watching three years earlier.

03

Slot C · Liturgy

Domestic liturgy.

A household runs on rhythm whether the man writes the rhythm or not. The third architecture installs the rhythms that survive jobs, toddlers, and weather — meals, table, words spoken over children, what closes the day. The algorithm does not author it for you.

Audience // 03

Who this manual is for.

FOR

Read this if you are here.

  • A husband who suspects the framework he was handed is not load-bearing — and is tired of pretending it is.
  • A Christian man who senses the pulpit's model of manhood is incomplete and wants the engineering the lectionary leaves out.
  • A man building from scratch — career, marriage, fatherhood, faith — who wants to do it correctly the first time.
  • A reader who took something useful from the empirical literature on men and was left cold by its nihilism.
NOT FOR

Skip this if you are here.

  • A reader looking for a thirty-day devotional with a soft conclusion to each chapter.
  • A reader looking for a feelings-first marriage book in the therapeutic genre.
  • A reader looking for hype, motivation, or a coach who will tell them they are doing fine.
  • A reader inside an active crisis who needs first aid rather than a framework. Come back when there is bandwidth.

What readers said after.

"The first book on manhood I have read that does not flinch and does not posture. He names the office. He names the gates. He gives the rhythm. Then he gets out of the way and lets you do the work."

Reader · MA beta cohort Husband · 14 yrs · Pastor

"I am not a Christian and I do not read men's books. A friend handed me Chapter Eight. I read the rest of the manuscript in a weekend. The categories are operationally useful even when you hold the theology at arm's length."

Reader · MA beta cohort Engineer · Father of three

"I have been in marriage counselling for two years. This manual did more for the office than any session has. The Reconstruction Phase chapter alone was worth the read."

Reader · MA beta cohort Husband · 9 yrs · Recovering

What men ask before they read.

What format does the manual come in?
EPUB and PDF, both watermarked to the email address you sign up with. Files deliver immediately once the book goes live in August. Read on any e-reader, any phone, any tablet, or print the PDF on standard letter stock if that is your preference.
Will you spam me?
No. One email, the day the book goes live in August — plus the field notes that come out of the same research as it moves. No drip campaign, no funnel.
Where does this sit in the MAN series?
Masculinity Architecture is Book 1 — the foundation. It installs the office, perimeter, and liturgy that the subsequent books assume. Attraction (Book 2) and Narcissism (Book 3) each presume the categories established here. Read this one first.
Is there an audiobook?
Not at launch. An author-narrated audio edition is on the production roadmap for the year after Book 3 closes the series. If audiobook is the only format you read in, wait. If you can read prose, the manual will hold.
How is this different from a typical "men's book"?
Most books in the genre are either devotional (a verse, a vibe, a thirty-day plan) or empirical with the theology stripped out (observations about male behavior with no covenant frame). This manual is neither. It is structural engineering for the office of husband — Scripture taken seriously, observation taken seriously, with neither used to shout down the other.
Do I need to be a Christian to read it?
No. The framework draws on Scripture because that is where the categories of office, perimeter, and liturgy come from. The engineering, however, stands on its own. Secular readers from the beta cohort reported finding the categories operationally useful even when they held the underlying theology at arm's length.
What happens after I sign up?
Nothing until release. One email in August with the download links for both formats. No upsell sequence. No funnel. No follow-up campaign trying to sell you a course.
